Ana Rita Prada was born and raised in a small town in Trás-os-Montes, in the north of Portugal. Her parents always supported her musical talent. At the age of 6, she was already singing constantly at home and was encouraged to perform at family parties.
At the age of 12, she participated in and reached the final of the television program “Uma canção para ti”, broadcast on national television, demonstrating her talent as a young artist. Her education included music training at the conservatory, where she studied piano, music theory and singing. In addition, Ana’s versatile character and interests led her to study biological sciences at the same time, completing a master’s degree in molecular biology and genetics.
Her career as a fado singer began when she moved to Lisbon at the age of 19, and she worked with several renowned artists in the traditional fado houses of the Portuguese capital. As a young professional, her musical career includes performances in Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, Kazakhstan and Poland. Ana’s performances can now be enjoyed regularly in several fado houses in Lisbon.
