LAUREN is a Portuguese-American Fado singer born in New Jersey, USA, who was introduced to music from an early age through the deep Portuguese saudade passed on by her parents.

At just 13 years old, she was introduced to the acclaimed Fado singer João Braga by António Homem Cardoso, the renowned photographer and mentor closely associated with Amália Rodrigues and many other iconic figures of Portuguese culture. Under João Braga’s guidance, LAUREN released her first album and later performed alongside him during his 50th anniversary career concert at Teatro São Luiz in Lisbon.

She later earned a degree in Jazz and Modern Music, a defining moment that inspired her to begin composing her own songs. Currently, she is preparing her new album, continuing to explore new artistic directions within Portuguese music.
