Born in Lisbon, he started playing Fado guitar at the age of six, under the influence of his father. He became a professional and since then has accompanied the most diverse voices of Fado, such as Maria da Fé, António Zambujo, Aldina Duarte, Rodrigo e Vicente da Câmara and Carlos do Carmo. He has had an active participation in national and international shows and in albums edited by several fado singers.
